Sub Ohm Coils

Usually you would expect to have either 3 or 5 coils within a pack of sub ohm coils. Manufacturers like Aspire usually will have a pack containing 5 coils and many Smok tank coils also come in either a pack of 3 or 5 depending on the model of vape tank.

Sub-ohm vaping is a style of vaping that produce big clouds of vapour and a stupendous amount of flavour. This is achieved through using a sub-ohm device, which uses lower resistance coils that are typically less than 1ohm on a battery that can deliver a high wattage.

The idea here is to slowly and smoothly inhale the vapour directly to your lungs, as though you are breathing the vapour in, then exhale a magnificent cloud you don’t necessarily have to fill your lungs as the cloud-chasers do, but can take smaller inhales if you prefer.

Typically, those who vape with a sub-ohm device prefer juice with higher vegetable glycerin (VG) to propylene glycol (PG) ratio because it produces more vapour and has less of a throat hit which enables a longer DTL inhale.

The easiest way to know when to change your resistance coil is to pay attention to how it feels when you vape. If your regular e-liquid is losing its flavour, the vapour is generally starting to taste burnt, or it feels drier than usual, it’s probably time to change your resistance coil.
